Abstract image, chalk/charcoal/pastel on sugar paper
This was a sketch for a piece I did representing the 100th anniversary of the 1918 armistice. It's actually an image from the bottom of a tree stump that was lent to me by a college tutor - the light in the distance felt appropriate.
